SAMPLE FINISHES

The following are just a few examples of some finishes that have been done in the past. It is by no means an exhaustive list, as there are endless possibilities of styles and looks and all of them can be done with various colours.

Burnished Stone Effect - Lime

Burnished, fine crushed marble aggregate finished to a smooth fell with a small amount of texture left behind to give depth.

Matte unpolished Venetian Plaster - Lime

Very fine aggregate. The plaster is applied in a number of coats with differing degrees of pigment. In each layer the plaster is applied in a random pattern which together with the differing levels of pigment provide depth and movement to this beautiful look.

Old World Coarse Plaster Effect - Lime

Using a large crushed marble aggregate, this look is achieved using a heavy hand and using a random application which leaves a coarse pitted look, reminiscent of many old world finishes.

Smooth Concrete Effect - Lime

Providing a smooth concrete effect this grey lime plaster achieves this look using a fine aggregate and a smooth trowel finish. A small amount of texture and aggregate is left behind to evoke that concrete look.

Veined Marble Effect - Lime

This look can be achieved with a variety of different aggregates and materials, however, in this case a larger silica aggerate in lime (Intonochino) was used to create the look. The look is created by creating both positive and negative relief in a 2 coat base of plaster. The relief is applied in a cross veining pattern akin to marble. Only a single colour was used in this example but many Marble effects are done with multiple colours to enhance the veined marble appearance.

Sante Fe Medium Relief - Clay

This classic look gives warmth and charm to any space. It is done with a clay plaster with a medium sized aggregate. The look is achieved with two lifts and a texture coat that is then troweled smooth and compressed to achieve this dynamic look.

Smooth Troweled Massive Stone Effect - Lime

This look used a course crushed marble aggregate of a much heavier grain, the finish is applied with more thickness in each coat, which allows the crushed marble pieces to interlock resulting in a smoother finish. This finish provides a uniform massive look, the aggregate is somewhat exposed an provides a gentle luster.

Polished, Low shine Venetian Plaster - Lime

This Version of our Venetian plaster effect is done the same way as the unpolished version, however, there is the additional step of applying a finishing sealer to the product which provides  extra depth, bolder colours, varying degrees of luster, and added protection.

Heavy Relief Old World Plaster Effect- Lime

This application is similar to the Old world coarse effect, but there is an additional layer applied to provide extra relief and texture to the finish.

Old World Medium Plaster - Lime

This heavy crushed marble aggregate finish is achieved much like the massive stone effect, however, it is not given quite as many passes with the trowel, which leaves a slightly more pitted look.

Old World Smoothed Stone Effect - Clay

This effect is created using a clay plaster with a larger aggregate, the plaster is applied in two lifts with a third texture coat which is then troweled down to provide a smooth finish with some negative relief and texture.

Santa Fe Low Relief - Clay

Similar to the Santa Fe Medium Relief, only this look is achieved using a smaller aggregate.
